How We Engage With You
Promethean Engineering works through short, focused engagements designed to quickly identify where performance, cost, or risk issues exist, before committing to larger work.
Most clients engage us when something isn’t working, but it’s not clear why.
Work is typically flexible in scope and duration, and may evolve depending on findings. We typically prefer to engage on an initial short, defined engagement to establish clarity before any longer term work is considered.
1 - Initial Discussion
A 30 minute complimentary call with no further obligations to understand your situation and determine whether a diagnostic review is appropriate.
We will typically cover:
Your current challenges.
Available data or project information.
What you are trying to decide or improve.
Which services you are interested in.
2 -Engagement Setup
If a review is appropriate, we establish a simple working setup:
NDA (where required).
Data and document sharing agreements.
Clear scope for the initial review.
3. Diagnostic Review
A structured review of your data, systems, or project information to establish a clear baseline understanding.
We will:
Identify early indicators of performance or delivery issues.
Highlight gaps or inconsistencies in data or approach.
Define the key areas requiring deeper analysis.
4. Next Steps
Following the initial review, the engagement may develop depending on findings:
Deeper operational or process performance analysis.
Improvements to project delivery and control systems.
Concept or FEED-level technical and commercial support.
Flexible by Design
Engagements are intentionally flexible.
Some remain short and focused, providing clear direction in a matter of weeks. Others expand into broader support where required.
Scope and duration are always defined based on findings, not assumptions.
Engagement Principles
All work is guided by a consistent set of principles:
Independence - We do not sell equipment, technology, or implementation services. Our advice is unbiased and focused on outcomes.
Clarity over complexity - We prioritise clear decision making over technical overload.
Evidence based where possible - We use operational data, engineering principles, and structured analysis to support conclusions.
Practical outcomes - Recommendations are designed to be implementable within real operational and project constraints.
Start with a Performance & Risk Review
Most engagements begin with a short, structured review to establish clarity before making larger decisions.
If you are dealing with uncertainty in plant performance, project delivery, or capital planning, the first step is a short discussion to understand your situation.
We will quickly determine whether a focused review is appropriate and what it should cover.
We’ll quickly determine if a review is appropriate and what it should cover.
