How We Engage With You

A structured, independent process for turning uncertainty into clarity

All engagements begin with a short, structured review of your information. From there, the work follows different pathways depending on whether the focus is operational performance, project delivery, or capital investment.

Work is typically flexible in scope and duration, and may evolve depending on findings. We typically prefer to engage on an initial short, defined engagement to establish clarity before any longer term work is considered.

Stage 1 - Initial Engagement & Setup

Before any technical work begins, we establish basic working arrangements, objectives and areas to target:

  • Initial 30 minute call to discuss your requirements and issues.

  • Confirmation of scope, schedule, price and objectives for further work.

  • NDA (Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement) & data access agreement where required.

Outcome: Establish which services are of interest; FEED, delivery review or data analytics.

Typical duration: 5–10 days to set up.

Stage Two - Production

We support clients in three areas, which all require different approached:

Plant Performance & Data Analytics

Used where plant performance is unclear, unstable, or increasing in cost. We deliver in three parts:

Part A - What happened?

  • Information and infrastructure audit - identify gaps and produce a data collection plan.

  • Review and clean data sets. Carry out process calculations.

  • Descriptive Statistics & Exploratory Analytics  (Summarise past events).

  • Diagnostic Analytics (Root cause analysis / why did it happen?).

  • Establish baseline and KPI’s or existing operations to measure future changes against.

Outcome: Clear identification of root causes and summary of what happened.

Typical duration: 5 - 20 days depending on data condition and availability.

Part B - What can we do?

  • Use predictive analytics to understand how the system is likely to behave under different conditions. Hypothesis testing.

  • Use prescriptive analytics to structure and compare a limited set of credible options.

  • Explore structured scenario analysis to compare options, trade offs and risks.

Outcome: Review potential options for improving situation and provide recommendations.

Typical duration: 5 - 10 days depending on data condition and availability.

Part C - What shall we do and how did we do?

  • Implementation of recommendations.

  • Support the implementation of low risk, incremental improvements.

  • Ongoing monitoring and comparison of implementations to baseline KPIs to verify success of the recommendation.

Outcome: Carry out recommendations and review impact against initial KPI’s.

Typical duration: 5 - 10 days depending on data condition and availability.

Project Control & Delivery Systems

Used where project delivery is inconsistent, margins are unclear, or reporting does not reflect reality. We deliver in two parts:

Part A - Review of existing systems

  • Survey PM’s and key staff to understand issues, gaps and areas to target for development.

  • Review existing delivery or sales tools.

  • Production of an organisation specific maturity model for delivery and / or sales teams to identify current maturity and target.

  • Gap analysis with report of recommendations / scope and price to undertake further work.

Outcome: Benchmark existing department maturity and create plan to reach target.

Typical duration: 5 - 10 days depending on employing organisation staff availability and complexity of existing documentation.

Part B - Production of new documentation / sytems

  • Produce new documents & systems.

  • Carry out training.

Outcome: Improved visibility of cost, risk, and delivery performance across projects.

Typical duration: 1 - 3 months depending on requirements.

Concept Design & FEED Advisory

Used where capital investment decisions are being made under uncertainty.

  • ff

  • ff

Outcome: Increased confidence in design decisions, cost estimates, and risk profile.

Typical duration: 1 - 6 months.

Engagement Principles

All work is guided by a consistent set of principles:

  • Independence - We do not sell equipment, technology, or implementation services. Our advice is unbiased and focused on outcomes.

  • Clarity over complexity - We prioritise clear decision making over technical overload.

  • Evidence based where possible - We use operational data, engineering principles, and structured analysis to support conclusions.

  • Practical outcomes - Recommendations are designed to be implementable within real operational and project constraints.

How to Engage

If you are dealing with uncertainty in plant performance, project delivery, or capital planning, the first step is a short discussion to understand your situation.

We will quickly determine whether a focused review is appropriate and what it should cover.

No obligation — just a practical conversation about your current challenges and where clarity is needed.
